Mint Hill is a full season honey meaning we only extract once a honey flow. It is a light caramel color with notes of cool mint, and white grape, very light taste and mildly sweet. The property we have our hives on is at an old mint plantation, in Mint Hill, NC and the bees are pollinating on mint plants, poison oak and poison ivy, crepe myrtle trees are also on the farm as well as numerous other trees and some wildflowers.

  • Perfect for a green tea - be sure to steep your tea first as you do not want to cook the raw pollen enzymes from the honey itself.
  • Great for a protein marinade.
  • Wonderful addition to a Charcuterie board.

Mint Hill Honey also has many medicinal benefits. It is similar to a manuka honey which is derived from Australia and New Zealand, from the Manuka plant and is in the family of the Myrtle.

There is a similar medicinal component with poison oak, poison ivy, and the manuka bush. The poison ivy and poison oak are wild ground coverage plants that the bees love to collect nectar from. This is a great benefit for those who suffer from arthritis as well as autoimmune disorders such as psoriatic arthritis RA and Crohn's. The reasoning behind this is the nectar the bees collect and turn into honey has the enzymes that help decrease inflammatory markers in your blood.

Mint Hill honey along with Ceylon Cinnamon and apple cider vinegar (or pickle juice is what we like to use), create a great boost for everyday to help decrease those flare-ups from arthritis and other autoimmune disorders. It's not a cure of course however it is a natural relief effort.
